Donald Scott Hays, 45, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Scott was born in Covington, Kentucky Jan. 27, 1970 to Donald Cornwell and Linda Hays Lutz. He was funny and hard headed, but he always had a genuine smile and a contagious laugh. Scott was proud of his family.
He was a little rough around the edges but he had a good soul and enjoyed life. Scott was one of the good ones. He was proud of his concrete work and loved working with his sons and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his dad.
Survivors include mom, Linda Lutz; pop, Joey Lutz; wife, Karen DiMaria of Azle, Texas; sons, Cohen Hays and Quintin Hays; sister, Crickett Youngman and husband, Merrick; niece, Jordan Pratt; stepdaughter, Jamie DiMaria; several aunts, uncles, cousins and loving family.

Cynthia Johnson, 66, left her worldly body and gained her heavenly wings on Sat., Jan. 16, 2016 while visiting in Galveston.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Jaybird Cemetery and visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.
She fought a long battle and never gave up living life to the fullest. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Survivors include husband, Arthur; son, Stan and his companion Leslie; daughter, Jana Johnson; sister, Cecilia Kirby and husband Dale; brothers-in-law, Charles Johnson and wife Diane, and Phillip Summers; grandchildren, Zane Heck and Caraline Doty; niece, Andrea Hamilton; nephews, Larry Kirby and wife, Jen, Gary Kirby and Craig Johnson; a large extended family and many friends.

John William “Bill” Lanier, 66, of Azle, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully Jan. 13, 2016 in Azle after a 15-month battle with cancer.
Visitation was held Jan. 14 and funeral service was Jan. 15 at Biggers Funeral Home. Interment was at Azleland Cemetery.
Bill was born March 30, 1949 in Fort Worth and lived in Azle all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Ross; step-father, James Ross; father, John Lewis Lanier; step-mother, Mary Lanier and brother, Larry Lanier.
Survivors include; his wife of 46 years, Joretta Lanier of Azle, son, Chad Lanier and wife, Michelle of Bridgeport, daughter, Kristi Edwards and husband, Tommy of Azle, daughter; Dana Lanier of Lake Dallas and brother, Jay Lanier of Azle, grandchildren; Alexandria Halbert and husband Jesse; Koby Lanier, Brayden Hay, Dustyn Edwards, Abbey Edwards, Santana Scroggins and husband Trevor, Cody Anderson and wife Britney, Sean Anderson, Brandon Carey and Kayleigh Carey; great-grandchildren; Hunter Anderson, Masen Halbert, Lorin Scroggins and Madison Halbert. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

The family of Clifford John Mitchell is sad to announce his passing on Jan. 1, 2016. He passed peacefully at his home on Cortes Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Flowers gratefully declined. The family has asked that a donation be made to your favorite Veterans charity. A private celebration of life gathering will be held on his birthday.
Cliff was a Chief Warrant Officer 2 in the US Army where he served as a helicopter pilot and was awarded a Purple Heart & Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.

After returning from Vietnam he started his own business in Ft. Worth, Texas and was a resident of Azle, Texas. He spent a lifetime in the aviation industry as a helicopter pilot, flight instructor and Director of Safety. He retired in 2003 and moved to Cortes Island to care for his parents. He became a Canadian citizen on December 4, 2015.
Cliff was preceded in death by his father Charles Henry Mitchell and his mother Hazel June Mitchell.
Survivors include his spouse Era Jo Mitchell, daughters; Shelley Renee Mijares (Alexis Antonio Mijares) of Rogers, Arkansas, Leslie Paige Weaver (Terry Leon Weaver II) of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee and his sister Meredith Ann Alba (Tom Alba) of Williamsburg, Virginia.

Justin “Wally” Cory Linthicum, 27, of Fort Worth, formally of Lipan, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Jan. 25, 2016 in East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel.
Wally was born Nov. 21, 1988 in Fort Worth. He was an accomplished contractor who was the proud owner of Pinnacle Painting and Remodeling. Wally was a very devoted son, brother, uncle and to the love of his life, Emily, as well as to all the friends he had. Wally loved to have family and friends over so he could show off his grilling skills. He enjoyed going to the lake, loved sports, along with disc golf and most of all, he loved his family dearly.
Survivors include parents, Michael Linthicum, Sr. and Tracy Davison of Poolville; son, Corbyn Linthicum; fiancée, Emily Anderson of Fort Worth; sisters, Jennifer Davison and husband Kyle Roth of Azle and Jessica Davison of Colorado Springs; brothers, James Davison and wife Brandy of Weatherford and Michael Linthicum, Jr of Poolville; grandmother, Mabilene Linthicum; niece, Railey Boothe; nephews, David Bass, Hunter Davison, Brett Boothe and Tanner Davison; aunts, Barbara Morgan Garrett of Azle and Vickie Stewart and husband Darrell of Fort Worth; uncles Larry West of Granbury, Danny Linthicum and wife Cassie of Winnie Woods, Oklahoma and Rick Linthicum of Fort Worth and many cousins, other family members and friends.

Barry E. Fitzgerald, 59, was called home early to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2016 after a sudden illness.
Visitation and viewing was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Barry lived a full life and was an avid racer at Texas Race Way in Kennedale, Texas. He also loved restoring old muscle cars and won first place showing his 1976 Trans Am this past summer in Springtown.
Barry will always be known as a loving father, grandfather and “POPS”. He will be truly missed by all his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, June Gibson, son, Kenneth Fitzgerald; daughter, Pearl Fitzgerald; step-son, Kenneth White; grandchildren, Paiton Fitzgerald, Jacob Beasley, Kaylin Beasley, Weldon Fitzgerald, Kallee Fitzgerald and Shayla Elam.

George Elbert White, 76, died Jan. 22, 2016 in Azle.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 in Ash Creek Baptist Church under the direction of Biggers Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ash Creek Cemetery.
George worked for the state of Texas for 41 years before retiring. He was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church, and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Sammie L. White; son, Sammy Jay White and wife; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Modine Laverne Bailey, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, surrounded by her husband and family.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal will be at 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Modine Laverne Jones was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. She married Richard L. Bailey on Sept. 10, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They have lived in Azle for over 40 years.
Survivors include husband, Richard; sons, Randy and wife, Karen, Richard, Rodney and wife, Kelly, and Ryan and wife, Shannon; grandchildren, Nicole Hartford and husband, Jack, Jennifer and Chad Bailey, Capree Greene and husband, Jeremiah, J.C., Brooke and Andrea Bailey, Rylee and Emily Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Jaden and Aubrey Hartford and Jedidiah Greene.

Mrs. Ruth Virginia Lemley (Young/Holloway) passed away Saturday Jan.16, 2016 at the age of 78.
Celebration of life will be at the BJ Clark building in Azle, Texas, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Ruth was born April 16, 1937 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Ruth was a faithful woman, dedicated wife and mother. She will always be remembered as a “2nd Mom” to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Alma Young, her husbands, Sonny Holloway and Chester Lloyd Lemley, and her granddaughter, Kayleigh Brown.
Survivors include Denise Kraus, Teresa Sears, Lisa Holloway, Laurie Bussard, LeeAnne Naumann (Rick), John Lemley (Kimberly), 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, siblings, Gordon Young (Veta), Diana Lawrence (Terry), June Young, Dorothy Barber (Bob).

Elvis was born Feb. 10, 1959 in Rockhill, South Carolina to James Henry and Pearl Almer Sweat Pressley.
They both preceded him in death along with two brothers, Jerry and James Jr. Pressley.

Donna was born May 3, 1961 in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

Shirley passed away on Jan. 24, 2016.
Shirley was born April 18, 1935 in Harris Station, Tennessee to Cecil D. and Nina Mae.   Shirley met Yandell Kimberlin and later married him on October 30, 1952.   It was true love.  They raised a beautiful family together.
While her entire family and friends are greatly saddened by Shirley’s death, they are comforted to know that she is now reunited with her family that passed before her.
Survivors include daughter, Vicki; son, Alan and his wife Shelly; and daughter-in-law, Jacqui; three grandsons and six granddaughters, and thirteen great- grandchildren.

Lillie May Bunton Shannon, 85, of Fort Worth, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016.
Lillie was born Sept. 2, 1930 to her parents, Arthur and Etta.
Lillie enjoyed dancing, sewing, and homemaking.  Lillie loved her Lord and Savior and her family. Lillie will be deeply missed and always in our hearts.
Survivors include husband, William “Bill” Shannon; daughter, Teresa Golden and husband Jim; daughter, Sandi Foster and husband Craig; son, Floyd Bunton, Jr. and Darlin Lopez; step-son William “Dub” Shannon Jr.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-love Carl David Houk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Walter Eugene Smith, 83, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 in Azle.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at Christway Baptist Church in Springtown.
Walter was born April 25, 1932 in Blue Mountain, Mississippi to Charles E. and Minta Clark Smith. They both preceded him in death along with one son, Terry Smith.

Lee Angelamaria Hupp, 96, died Saturday, January 30, 2016. She was surrounded by people that loved her. Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Azle.

Lee was born to Celestino and Lisana Silvestri on Sept. 8, 1919 in Montefiascone, Italy. She married George Hupp on July 19, 1941. Lee, along with her husband, were founding members of the Azle Senior Center. She was active in her community as a volunteer and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for 37 years.
Survivors include daughter, Jackie Hicks; son, Gregory Hupp; grandchildren, Niki Baker and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Joseph Baker and wife, Robin, and Zachary Baker; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Budney Snell, 86, passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 2016.
Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday in White’s Azle Chapel. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
Budney was born March 12, 1929 in Tioga to Eli and Pauline Billmeier Snell. His home was always open to those in need. Budney was a hard worker that dearly loved his family and enjoyed fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sarah Snell; two sisters; two sons; two brothers; and a daughter.
Survivors include sons, Sam Snell and wife, Debra, Dan Snell, James Snell, Richard Wilkinson and Lee Crooks and wife, Brenda Reading; daughters, Venus Thompson, Anita Ramos and husband, Jessie, and Francis Mitchell; sister, Mary Monter; brothers, John Snell and Kenneth Snell and wife, Susan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and loving family.

Ruby Mildred Springer Estes passed away surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016 at the age of 89.
Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Little Elm Cemetery.
Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to a charity of your choosing.
Ruby Mildred Springer was born Jan. 4, 1927 in Little Elm to Frances Marion Springer and Emily Thomas Springer. She was the fifth of 6 children with 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Ruby cherished her childhood memories of growing up in Little Elm during the Great Depression. During World War II, she entered the Nurse Cadet Corps at Harris Hospital in Fort Worth where she trained to become a Registered Nurse.
Ruby married Royce Waynne Estes on Nov. 17, 1951. Ruby and Royce raised their four sons in Fort Worth where she worked for more than 40 years as a nurse at Harris Hospital. She was a member of the Boyd Church of Christ in Boyd and a regular at the Azle Senior Center in Azle.
Ruby is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Royce Waynne Estes and her sons James Robert Estes and Kenneth Paul Estes.
Ruby’s family would like to thank Shirley and the rest of her friends at the Azle Senior Center for the good times she had there. They would also like to thank the Boyd Church of Christ members for the love and compassion they always showed to her.
Survivors include her sons Royce Waynne Estes Jr. (Joyce Estes) of Georgetown and Samuel Forrest Estes (Rita Estes) of Fort Worth; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pearl Kirk, 80, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Monday at Annis Chapel, under the direction of Alexander’s Midway Funeral Home in Springtown.
Pearl was born Sept. 7, 1935 in Wichita Falls to Bruce and Lucille McKnight.
Pearl was preceded in death by both her parents, sisters; Bonnie Davis and Brucille Sessums; and brother, Frankie Milligan.
Survivors include husband, Billy Kirk; children, Justin Kirk, Dewayne Kirk, Rhonda Lanier and husband, Kenneth and Tracy Smith; brothers, Eddie Milligan and wife, Phyllis and Jimmy Milligan; five grandchildren and ten great- grandchildren. Alexander Midway Funeral Home, Springtown, 817-677-2634.
