Billie Jean Conner, 84, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery under the direction of White’s Funeral Home.
Billie was born March 28, 1934 in Springtown to Jessie and Della Lou Knighten. She married the love of her life, Moya Conner, and they shared over 60 happy years together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Moya Conner, in October of 2016.
Survivors include children, Pamela Carter, Michael Conner and wife, Debbie, Rickey Conner and wife, Lavern, and Jamie Conner and wife, Carol; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores “Lori” Schlaepfer Gibbs was born on Oct. 5, 1955 in Oxnard, California. She entered Heaven’s gates on April 10, 2018.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., April 21, 2018 at White’s Azle Funeral Home.
A loving mother and home-maker, Lori was an excellent cook and such a talented artist. She was a longtime resident of Azle and she loved her family and friends with all her heart. Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Jean Schlaepfer and siblings, David Schlapfer, Denise Fry and Danny Schlaepfer.
Lori is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy Schultz and husband, Chuck, grandchildren, Brittney Brott, Cameron Schultz, Hunter Schultz and great-grandchildren, Kenzi and Haizlee; loving sisters, Donna Souza from Oxnard, California and Diana Drake from Volcano, Hawaii; and former husbands, Jim Jaecks and Tony Gibbs; also loved by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Arthur Lang went home to be with his Lord Thursday, April 19 after a lengthy illness.
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, at First United Methodist Church, 200 Church Street, Azle.
Lang was born on Sept. 12, 1929 in Austin, Texas.
Arthur was preceded in death by his mother, Parlee Price; father Arthur W. Lang; and his son, Arthur (Artie) W. Lang III.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; his son, Gregory Lang and wife Leslie; grand-children Christopher and Joshua; his sister, Betty Eyre; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeffrey “Jeff” Lynn Rider a beloved daddy, granddaddy, brother, son, and friend passed away Monday, April 16, 2018.

Logan Tyler Hooser, 19, loving son, brother to Bryson, grandson, nephew, and cousin passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018.
A memorial service was held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Ash Creek Baptist Church.
Logan was born Dec. 20, 1998 in Fort Worth to Cody and Amy Hooser. He was a lifelong resident of Azle.
Logan loved and was a master of music, he believed it was a window to your soul. He was our little professor and became an expert at everything he loved or was interested in. He loved Bass fishing, his therapy pets, family and all of his friends. But most of all he loved his momma, daddy, brother, and Ginga.
Logan was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Dale and Ginger Eversole and Lionel and Dorothy Slobodien; grandfathers, Jerry Hooser and Brent Seiber.
Survivors include parents, Cody and Amy; brother, Bryson Hooser; grandparents, Rick and Nicki Osborne and Barbara Seiber; aunt, Staci Auxier and husband, Andy and their daughter, Sophie; aunt, Sommer Osborne and her daughter, Rylee; special great-aunt, Lisa Brothers and husband, Jeremy and their children, Ethan and Emily; and numerous other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Leroy Culpepper 1944 – 2018
Leroy Culpepper, 73, a man of many hats, husband, brother, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend; who will always lovingly be remembered to all as Doodle, passed away peacefully at home with his family surrounding him on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at Wise County Cowboy Church in Decatur with burial in Cumby Cemetery in Chico. Family received friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Bro. Jeff Tacket officiated. Pallbearers included David Marshall, Les Haralson Sr., Calvin Davis, Jody Davis, Mikey Barton, and Johnny Paul Barton.
Doodle was born on Sept. 28, 1944 to Luther Culpepper and Delia (Smith) Culpepper Gaither in Fort Worth, Texas. He was united in marriage to Nancy (Hicks) Culpepper on March 25, 1973 in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Wise County Cowboy Church in Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Culpepper; his mother, Delia (Smith) Culpepper Gaither; his sister Sue Marshall.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Nancy (Hicks) Culpepper of Chico; his daughter Missy Dickinson and husband Dan of Springtown; his grandchildren, Lexe Jones and husband Nathan of Chico and Makenzi Harris of Fort Worth; his great- grandchild and the light of his life, Cooper Scott Jones; his sisters, Evelyn Culpepper of Gainesville and Margaret Ann Haralson and husband Odis of Azle; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Born April 27, 1927, Lula Evelyn Hobbs joined her husband, Bob, and daughter, Janice, in Heaven on April 30, 2018. Just three days after celebrating her 91st birthday, Evelyn passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 1, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter, Janice Ellis of Cedar Creek Lake, Texas; parents Robert and Mae McAnally; and sister, Jo Colley.

Robert William (Bob) Jungman, 67, died peacefully in his Azle, Texas home on May 5, 2018.
He was a USMC. veteran of The Vietnam War.
Bob was born on April 7, 1951 in San Angelo, Texas to Edgar and Ireene Jungman. He made friends everywhere he went and will be missed by many.
He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Ireene Jungman and his brother Stephen Jungman.

Paul Reid Farmer, D.D.S 1959 – 2018
Dr. Paul R. Farmer, resident of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on May 21, 2018 at the age of 58-years-old.

Paul was born Aug. 26, 1959 and raised in Richmond, Texas and graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in 1977. He continued the long-standing family tradition of attending Baylor University, earning his undergraduate degree in 1981 while he lettered in baseball. He then graduated Baylor College of Dentistry in 1987.
Paul had his own dental practice for 29 years in Azle. He was a member of Lighthouse Fellowship in Fort Worth and brought countless people closer to the Lord through prayer and random acts of kindness. He was also part of the Azle Rotary, and Chamber of Commerce, as well as a volunteer at The Refuge. Paul spent his days spreading the gospel to all who would listen, golfing, hunting and making memories with his close family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marylin Farmer.
He was a gift to us all and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Kelli Farmer, his eldest son, Reid and wife, Michal, and youngest son, Chase, and his daughter, Mackenzi. He’ll also be missed by his brother, Bryce, and wife, Dianne, and sister, Elaine, and husband, Bill, in addition to several nieces and nephews and family members.

Deanna Jean Stilley, born Feb. 9, 1943, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father at the age of 75.

She joined her father, Byrel Dean Eason, mother, Mildred Agnus Lytle and brother, Byrel Dean Eason, Jr. in heaven, Sunday, May 20, 2018.

James Richard (Dickie) Glaze, Jr. 1950- 2018
“Dickie” Glaze, 68, loving father and brother, went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 2, 2018 after his long and hard fought battle with cancer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday June 9, 2018 at Ash Creek Baptist Church, located at 300 S. Stewart Street, Azle, Texas. Family visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 10 a.m. A private family burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Decatur, Texas, where he will be laid to rest next to his infant daughter. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Azle Hornet Booster Club
Dickie was born April 13, 1950 in Weatherford, Parker County, Texas, to “Rich” and Leota Glaze. He was a pillar of the Azle community where he resided for 65 years, and was a graduate of the Azle High Class of 1969.
Dickie was a very skilled carpenter by trade, and took part in the building of many homes in and around the Azle area where his craftsmanship still stands strong today. He also worked many years for the Azle Independent School District in the Athletic Department. After retirement, he was very active in the Azle Hornet Booster Club.
Dickie met and married the love of his life, Becky Dickey in 1970. Although they divorced after 16 years of marriage and four children, Becky remained his lifelong friend and cared for him during his illness.
He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Traci Sue Glaze; his parents James Richard Glaze and Leota Elizabeth Carter Glaze; and brother, Jimmie Don Glaze.
Dickie is survived by his sister, Carolyn Sue Smith and her husband, Max Smith of Azle, Texas; children, Lori Glaze Scroggins of Stockdale, Texas, Amy Glaze Suddeath of Azle, Texas, and Brent Glaze of Decatur, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who will dearly miss their “Candyman”; along with a multitude of relatives, friends and the Azle Hornet Community.

Robert Mayo 1944 – 2018
Robert was born June 15, 1944 in Grinnell, Iowa to Charles and Bernice (Haynes) Mayo. Robert passed away on May 26, 2018 with his loving wife Eva and daughter, Dawn, by his side.

Bob had 3 brothers – Paul, Don, and Roger and one sister Delores. Bob attended high school in Grinnell, Iowa and was an Iowa State Champion Wrestler. Bob received a wres-tling scholarship to attend col-lege. However, after one year of college he found his true calling in professional rodeo.
Bob was a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association for nearly 15 years, competing in Bareback Bronco riding events During his time in the professional rodeo circuit, Bob amassed a number of wins and had some of his best years between 1966 and 1971 and finished 3rd in the Nation-al Finals Rodeo in ‘67 and ‘68. In 2011, Bob was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame along with his brother Paul. Bob lived most of his life in various parts of Texas before finally settling just outside of Dallas-Fort Worth where he lived for 25 years.
In 2017 Bob and his wife, Eva, moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona where he spent the remainder of his life surrounded by family and new friends he and Eva had made.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores.
Bob leaves behind his loving wife Eva; brothers Paul, Don and Roger Mayo; children Tim (Jill) Eastep, Tom (Vanessa) Eastep, Terry Eastep, Mary (Gus) Gilstrap, Dawn (Randy) Wilson, Beau (Laura) Mayo, and Leslie (Tammy) Mayo; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

King David Cox Jr., 82, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 with his family by his side.
David was born March 28, 1936 in Blum, Texas to his parents, King Ivy and Kind-ness Ann Cox.
He married the love of his life, Jeanette Lester when she was only 16.

Elder Frankie Lee Baker 1921 – 2018
Elder Frankie Lee Baker, 96, died at the Cityview Care Center on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
Funeral was held Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Frank was born Dec. 11, 1921, in Jack County to Ollie May Belle Miller and Jeptha Jackson Baker.
He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a pious, gentle man who devoted his life to his family, God and church.
Frank served in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he learned the electrical trade. When he returned to civilian life he was employed by Global Consolidated Air-craft (Lockheed/Martin) where he retired after 42 years.
He married Nancy Sue Bryan on May 20, 1950, and had three daughters. He lived in Azle until 2014.
Frank was an ordained Min-ister of the Primitive Baptist Denomination. He served as Pastor at several churches in Texas and continued to preach into his late eighties. He was very active with his church, his congregation and the local church singing camp, Harmony Hill, in Azle. He was an avid reader of all religions. He taught himself how to read Latin and Greek, so as, to better understand the bible. He wanted to have a better understanding of all religions, so he could have respect and compassion for other’s beliefs.
He also loved to garden and was also a true handyman, who could repair just about anything. He loved to tinker and always had a project or two.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Baker; daughter, Shirley Ray who died at birth; and his loving wife, Nancy.
Survivors include his daughters, Carol Walden and husband, Jerry of Springtown, Texas and Pamela Neeper and husband, Eddie of Burleson, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and many friends and relatives that will miss his kind and caring words.
